Pavane Ferrareze
Quando Nascette Ninno
La Canarie

Here is the latest in Nancy Hurrell's exquisite and historical arrangements of early music for harp.  Easy to read with many historical notes and performance suggestions.  Very fulfilling for harpists knowledgeable in historical music, and also makes your performances well rounded.  Sometimes early music produces a change in the atmosphere creating a fine ambiance for many an occasion.  Playable on all harps, intermediate, and very well done. Because of the notes on the composers, sources and history, this book could also be used for an interesting presentation of early music.  77 pages.

Testimonial: I ordered and received the two volumes of Nancy’s that you’ve published – and I haven’t wanted to play anything else since then!  Who cares what the bride wants (just kidding, of course)! The arrangements and the selection of pieces are great.  I’ve used other collections of medieval and renaissance music in the past – and generally average about 20% use per book.  That’s not the case with these – they’re both a “WOW” find. As a resident of a city preparing for its 450th anniversary in a few years and as director of a chant schola (looking to do programming that includes instrumentals), I can’t thank you enough for publishing this.  And please pass these kudos along to Nancy Hurrell as well.  All the best from St. Augustine (where our first governors brought along a harpist and a vihuelist to help them settle an outpost in La Florida).
