Beautiful, ethereal and almost other worldly. Written in C minor, 5 pages. The LH prevails with a triplet pattern throughout much of the piece while the RH in general plays a single note melody in the high register. Ascending triplets and 32nd note scale passages create a birdlike fluttering. There are a few ascending then descending arpeggios which create a stronger fluttering experience. A Cadenza-like passage in the middle is to be played slowly and with feeling.
Playable on lever harp – there is a section where B naturals are needed and enough time to move levers.
