Mon Souffle

For harp and cello, the meaning is “my breath”. Using percussive sounds it has a soft yet driving energy.

In this piece, you’ll have to learn a bit of coordination for the percussive parts.  This piece made its world debut at the American Harp Society Conference, South Dakota, June 2022. The harp part goes to the A below low C (this is a 3rd lower than most lever harps). It could be played on one of the levers harps that has a larger range, or on a pedal harp, or the A in a different octave can be substituted.
