Great exercises and tune selections, an outstanding addition to the learning material for harp. Formerly in two volumes, now nicely combined into a 60-page method, this superb collection of exercises and songs can be used for all harps, though the range is specifically for small harps. Exercises are simple and move slowly, developing a solid technique. The book is meant to be used under the guidance of a harp instructor. Fingerings and brackets are well marked, songs are well known, aiding in learning! Tunes are laid out well.
Contains: Drink to Me Only, Amazing Grace, London Bridge, Lavender’s Blue, Cockles and Mussels, Hints of Christmas (a one-page medley that is easy and impressive!), Susy Little Susy, Ode to Joy, Brahms’ Lullaby, Kum-ba-yah, We Three Kings, For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow, Crusader’s Hymn, Potpourri (an original tune using many of the techniques found in the book), and Untraveled Path, a tune by one of Ms. Drake’s theory students, arranged for small harp.
