Welcome Webinar Hosts!
We are very happy and excited to announce the continuation of our educational webinars as a joint effort by Melody’s and Afghan Press Publishing. We’ve been offering practical meetings online for close to 4 years now. Replays on most are available at this LINK. Even more special, we are honored to have Therese Honey and Kimberly Snaufer DeRosa host our meetings.
Therese Honey is an early music and Celtic music specialist who is equally comfortable on pedal harp, early harps, and Celtic/Irish harps. She has many CDs to her name, and her website is https://www.therese-honey.com/. She is a marvelous harp instructor; her praises are sung by her students past and present. Therese has three published harp books: Honey’s Celtic Harp Book Volume 1, Honey’s Celtic Harp Book Volume 2, and The Royale Harpist.
Kimberly DeRosa is the founding director for two very successful harp festivals. Her guest artist appearances include Northern Colorado Harp Festival, Beauty of the Harp, Gulf Coast Harpers, Greater Houston Chapter, Young Audiences, Harp in Worship (June 2023), North Jersey Chapter of American Harp Society, New Orleans Chapter of AHS. She has a BM from Southern Methodist University plus Special Graduate Program at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Kimberly’s website: https://www.harpjourneys.com/
The Houston Summer Harp Festival was founded by Kimberly Snaufer DeRosa. She and Therese have taught and conducted ensembles at this highly successful youth festival every summer since its inception 20 years ago.
