Six arrangements for harp plus two flutes (or other C instruments) or flute and cello. There are a few accidentals in the harp parts, but lever harpists could omit those notes. INTERMEDIATE, ALL HARPS.
From the arranger, Joyce Weaver:
This book is dedicated to the First Presbyterian Church of Pocatello,
Idaho. These arrangements were done for use in Taize prayer services
at that church during the 2003-2004 year.
My thanks go to Lauri Orr who worked with me on the harp parts and
to Loren Weaver and Barbara Shaw who played the two flute parts and
made suggestions. They were very gracious and helpful in doing the
arrangements.
These arrangements contain some slightly more advanced techniques
than my earlier books had, including cross unders and more 16th notes
in several of the pieces.
The harp parts are marked Flute 1 (or Flute 2) for that part for
reference. Most cello parts are like the Flute 2 parts, especially where
cello has the melody. However, a few Flute / Cello parts are quite
different from Two Flute parts.
I hope that you enjoy playing these spirituals. It has been fun using
them at our church. –Joyce Weaver
