Five lullabies for lever harp, in 4 keys ranging from D to F, with no internal lever changes. Each began as an improvisation, played at a children’s hospital; then worked out as well-structured compositions. They range in style from traditional and intimate (i.e., typical lullaby) to romantically evocative (“River of dreams”) to sad (“Rainy day lullaby”) to expansive (“Western sky”).
